How to play Circlify – The Basics

Our new arcarde-style app Circify is now available on Google Play and the App Store and if you haven’t checked it out yet, we invite you to do so.

With high replay value and maddeningly addictive gameplay, its one that is sure to challenge you physically and emotionally if you want to achieve a high score.

If you’re one of the many people that’s recently downloaded the game, here’s a few pointers on how to !

How the game works

First of all, we’d like to mention that it’s highly recommended you go through the tutorial. The first time you play the app will take you through it and you’ll soon get the hang of it!

Basically, the aim of the game is to tap the screen when your torch lines up with a gap in the circular maze you are inside, as shown below:

If you are successful, this gives you a single point and from here on, the maze starts to grow in size and rotate at an increasingly fast rate.

When does the game end?

If you’re good enough, never! But if you’re a mere mortal like the rest of us, the game ends when you tap the screen at a time when your light is not shining on an opening in the maze:

For beginners and even advanced players, this often happens when the maze grows to such a size that your light is very difficult to see.

If you hesitate for too long, the maze will eventually look like this:

In this situation, you’ll might just be squinting to see when you need to tap – this is less than ideal. Of course, as you progress further into the game, it’s inevitable that you’ll be operating in a larger maze and this is certainly a challenging aspect of the game.

As you progress further, you’ll come across circles in the maze with multiple openings. will this gives you more room for error on when to tap, you will need more time on this circle given that you will need to tap on both openings. Tapping the first will make the circle connect in that spot and you’ll need to tap the other opening to move on.

The free version of the app will occasionally take you to an video ad after your game ends, which you can choose to close if you don’t feel like sitting through it. However, if you do sit through the video, you’ll be given a boost. The boost will enable you to progress through the first two circles in one hit tap, which is pretty hand .

If you’re struggling to get started it might be worth your time!

Good luck and be sure to check out our Facebook page for more tips and tricks in the near future. If you achieve a high score we’d love to hear about it so feel free to post to our page too!
